A member of the ASEAN Free Trade Area, Cambodia relies on agriculture, forestry, processing, and the travel industry as its economic mainstays. Our strategic partner’s factory is located alongside Cambodian National Roads 5 and 6, the transport junction of Phnom Penh.
Climate and Accommodations
Cambodia is in the tropical monsoon zone.
With a yearly average temperature of 27 to 28 °C, Cambodia has rainy (May to October) and dry (November to April) seasons. Employees are entitled to housing, meals, and housekeeping services, as well as basic furniture, electrical appliances, and the Internet.
Daily Life and Transportation
You can buy groceries from local vendors just outside the factory or go to local supermarkets that are a 30- to 40-minute drive away, such as Lucky or Bayon. In addition, the AEON Mall, areas around Sorya Center Point, the Central Market, and the Boeung Keng Kang area are all great places to go to for weekend dining and shopping. You can choose from a range of convenient transportation options, including Tuk Tuk, Moto, or bus services.
Culture and Holidays
A Buddhist country, Cambodia has a Buddhist population of over 90% and many major holidays involve Buddhist temples. The three major holidays in Cambodia are the Khmer New Year in April, Pchum Ben (Ancestors’ Day) in September, and Bon Om Touk (the Water and Moon Festival) in November.
In addition to traditional holidays, Cambodia also holds the annual Angkor Wat International Half Marathon, which is one of the major events of the sports world!
